Christmas 2012

Our Christmas 2012 was one to remember. We were lucky to spend time with lots of family and to grow our household by one and a half pounds of sweet puppy love. Oyster joined our family Christmas morning. We spent our day enjoying her with family–first the Williams. (We had even more time over the weekend with Marc and Heather and ALL the siblings together–fishing, presents, and lots of eating!) After some gifts and brunch with the Williams we headed home where my brother Tom from NYC and Grandma & Art spent the rest of the day with us. Tom played Transformers with the boys and let little Oyster spend most of the day in his pocket. We enjoyed a long walk, complete with puddles to splash in, presents, and lots of great food & drink.

After Christmas we stayed pretty busy, returning to work the 26th then travelling to a Lincoln soccer tournament, but we managed to squeeze in some indoor glow-in-the-dark putt putt and fishing, treasuring every moment together.

If there is one thing that has really been hitting home lately, it is how short life is. You never know what day will be your last and this perspective makes me grateful for every moment, even without the traditional two week Christmas break I had as a teacher and don’t have as a state employee.

Each one of these pictures is a blessing that brings me so much joy.

*I really intended to put a slideshow in here so you could watch or skip through instead of scrolling down 100+ images that aren’t sized as intended. If I had a little more time on my hands I would fix, but January is almost over and it’s time to move on! SORRY

  1. At least a corner of Pop’s body made your pics to represent the extended Williams family. Other than feeling left out in the photos, I enjoyed the many pictures of all the cuties. – Nana

    • Yea I didn’t do many pictures Christmas Day—Art provided most of the pics from our house. Must remember to do more next year—and at least one group shot 😦
