Though I always miss me some Fogles on the Fourth of July, this year we learned Apalachicola does it right…. except on the 3rd of July. Here’s how we rolled with Easton and whoever those other Brunos are (just kidding we love you too Josh & Renee, he just steals the show), and our local faves Zach & Katie. Why should you come join our small town celebration? Patriotic golf cart parade, free blue bell icecream sundaes, live band on the shrimp boat, fireworks over the water, small scale crowds, big town fun (aka no hour in traffic like trying to leave Tom Brown in Tallahassee). For us it was even more special seeing all our coworkers, students, friends, and families we have come to love. And maybe its just me, but even to strangers, these locals are a friendly bunch…especially new next door neighbors.
But whats even better, Franklin County does it all again with multitudes more Fireworks on St. George Island on the 4th. We did miss out on the water fight golf cart parade, but we enjoyed the heck out of the beach through sunset. Then we watched fireworks until we thought we would be hit by them and snuck over to BJs for pizza, cherry coke & fried mac n chs.
THIS YEAR WE HOPE YOU WILL JOIN OUR FAMILY IN THANKING & PRAYING EVERY NIGHT FOR MR. JOEY (TARANTO) AS HE PROTECTS ARE FREEDOM!
