Snow! and Ice! at Gaylord Palms

With our first trek down south for a Sarasota Thanksgiving we decided to make a special stop on the way. We prepped the boys for a chilly adventure and visions of ice slides danced in their heads.

A pit stop at Walmart combined with tragic decision to let Jabbers roam the car rather than stayed cooped up in a carrier resulted in a devastating disappearance. Though we left Tallahassee with a heavy heart we had to chuckle at our crazy Jabbewocky squeezing his chubby tail out a window crack.

And then we were off onto the warmest, sunniest Florida day you can imagine, thus making our frosty fieldtrip even more fun. We traded our flipflops for boots, layered up, and grapped a Parka—just in time for Shrek the Halls!

We all topped off our ICE!y experience with some SLIDING.

Liam learned to take a few notes from bro:  slide on parka or you stick!

That was fun, but straight on to a slightly warmer SNOW! with the Kung Fu Panda crew.  We threw snowballs at bad guys, made snow angels, sledded, slid, and hung out with Po himself.  The snow was quite fake and scarily slick at times, but overall a good time for Floridians.

But how can you stop there when you are so closed to the world of Disney?  A big appetite called for the T-Rex Cafe and Christmas a month away called for a Lego Land jaunt.  A busy day kicked our vacation in high gear!
